SQL Server-based Storage
Based on a customer's subscription and add-ons, customer data will be stored in one of five (5) different data centers making up RockSolid's collective global infrastructure. The data centers are broken up based on the following:
USA (Standard) | Microsoft Azure Commercial |
USA (GovCloud) | Microsoft Azure GovCloud |
CAN (Canada) | Amazon AWS, Montreal |
AUS (Australia) | Amazon AWS, Sydney |
STG (Staging) | Amazon AWS, Oregon |
All SQL applications and data are configured for full fault tolerance, sharding data across multiple, physically distinct hardware instances. SQL data is backed up every three hours and is stored on Amazon's S3 service. Two weeks' worth of backups is kept at all times.
ElasticSearch-based (ELS) Storage
All ElasticSearch-based storage utilizes Amazon's EC2 services, leveraging the same data center isolation as the SQL-based data. ELS servers are configured for full fault tolerance, sharding data across multiple, physically distinct hardware instances. For more information on ElasticSearch, click here.
File-based Storage
All file-based storage utilizes Amazon's S3 service coupled with their CloudFront CDN (content delivery network) service. Examples of data using this method would be images, videos, audio, and other common file types.
